Vince Cellini joined GOLF CHANNEL in 2003 after an award-winning stint as anchor for CNN Sports and various other Turner networks. Cellini currently serves as lead anchor for Golf Central and co-host for the Grey Goose 19th Hole. In his GOLF CHANNEL career, his duties have included hosting shows such as Big Break, Big Break All Star Challenge, Natural Golf Makeover Challenge, Fore Inventors Only and special field assignments.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Cellini began his sports broadcasting career at WJW-TV, where he was a three-time regional Emmy Award nominee for sports reporting. He joined CNN in 1989, where he won a 1996 Cable Ace Award for his work on CNN Sports Tonight and was a two-time nominee (1995 and ’97). He also elected to the Ohio Radio Television Hall of Fame in 2000. It was on CNN that Cellini was co-anchoring with Carol Lin when the September 11th attacks began, making him a prime player in a moment of history.
Cellini attended the College of Wooster where he was a four-year letterman in football. As a tight end, he set several school records, including most receiving touchdowns in a career. Cellini and his wife Lisa have three children, Vincent, Adam, Alex and a Jack Russell terrier named Jake.
